All you folks with iPhones locked to carriers are missing out. There is a huge community of software developers making some pretty cool stuff. Like winterboard for example. A cool little theming app that already has hundreds of cool themes available. This one is currently my favourite.
Went out to Lyds to see Berk's band Family Brown. Good times and great band.
Worst round of golf I've ever played. Shot a 110 at Greenbryre. I could blame the gale force winds, or maybe the rock hard greens for this terrible score. ... So I will :) seriously. When you drop the ball on the middle if the green from 150 yards out, it's supposed to make a sizable divot and roll a few feet, NOT bounce 10 feet in the air and off the back of the green.

That's a lot better. I thought my old TV stand was going to buckle

My new Panasonic TV stand which I assembled incorrectly. Boo.
That's my dad's new killing machine. His custom APA Viper compound bow. My dad designs and programs the machining process that creates these bows. I guess these things are the fastest bows on earth. Which is pretty cool. I told my dad he looks like he's from the future. He seemed to like that.

This one is the coolest by far. Same idea as Shazam except you can
sing or hum a song into the mic and it will give you list of song
starting with the most probable one. Surprisingly accurate.
This one is pretty handy. Records a few seconds of a song. Records
through the mic and tells you what song it is. I can't believe how
accurate it is. Didn't miss one song I tried out from my iTunes
library, and I have some obscure stuff on there.
I'm sure this app will lose it's luster but for now it entertains to
no ends. A virtual pint that you tip to empty.
Seriously. If you don't have an iPhone you should really think about
picking one up. Now that I've added a data package it's truly become
the total "all in one" device that nerds have been heralding for years.
Seriously. Get one. Cause I said so. Yah.

Anyone have an old PCI video card with an ATI chipset? I need to get
that third monitor fired up on old bessy there. For no particular
reason other than why not?

UPDATE: I totally did it! and it's only costing me an extra $25 for 6GB of data per month. Booya! (switched from the $20 essentials package to the $15 smartphone package, then added $30/6GB data). Initially the data promo was for 3G iphones only, but Rogers relaxed their stance and allowed any smartphone user to add the data promo. Phoned in with my old, old Audiovox 5600 and added the data. Swapped simms back in to my iPhone 2G and voila.
Man this is tight.
Upgraded my phone to version 2.0 software. After some initial problems with the mail accounts not working, I've finally sorted it out.
Thank goodness. I know you were all very worried for me.
So I've updated to iPhone firmware 2.0 to take advantage of some cool features... Everything went smoothly, minus the fact that my mail app doesn't seem to want to work. Boooo. That's kind of an important feature. I'm trying a setting and data reset which is supposed to fix the problem... We'll see.
Oh sweet steamed pork dumpling. Is there anything you can't do?

employee: "What sort of uses do you need your computer for?"
customer: "Well, I do a lot of writing in cafes"
I'm fairly certain I let out an audible chortle.
