Both actually.
In your place
I’ve never been the kind of person to believe in fate or karma, but that may have changed. Sometimes the universe rears its ugly head, slaps you square in the face and reminds you that your place in the universe is not where you thought it was. It’s a stark, somber realization that stings like only bitter truth can.
Isn’t life grand
Slaving away!
Started round two on the carbs after about a month of inactivity. I could have had these things done in a few hours if it hadn’t been for a number of complications in my life and constantly running in to pieced together, half assed fixes which should have been done right the first time. After pulling them apart the fuel connectors basically disintegrated. Order up a new set from Z1 and also ordered up a couple new needles as the replacement one I ordered off eBay turned out to be one size too lean. God damn eBay. I both love and hate your face.
Best. Wedding. Ever.
Progress
Look at this bullshit. I can’t beleive someone would fuck up this needle so bad and think that it’s still ok to run. Cheap bastards. I ordered up a new NOS needle but never even thought to check and see if the bent needle damaged the main jet stem or main jet. Better cross my fingers when I get home.
Figured I deserved a few of these hand pulled London Pride’s to make me feel better.

Spit Shine
Time to pay a little attention to my first bike. Didn’t know a damn thing about bikes when I bought it, but it was good to me. Never broke down and ran like a champ. Now that I’ve learned a few things, I can really tell how the previous owner treated this bike like doody. Tank is rusty as all balls and that’s why my carbs have run like dink for a while. Time to rebuild them. Couple of shitty things. Overflow on # 2 is cracked and crudely glued together with something that seems to be holding. Hopefully it continues to hold. The last shitty thing is the needle on 1. Look at the last picture. That thing is supposed to be straight as an arrow. I have no idea how my bike ran as well as it did.
Oh well. I was able to find a NOS replacement on eBay so all should be good.
